Tara Babando

Like most artists and designers, I find it incredibly uncomfortable to talk about myself but here is the broad stroke. I developed my style through non-traditional experience. I began painting in high school when a sudden knee injury on the ski slopes rendered me in a full leg cast. I approached my first canvas as an escape from my plaster shackle and to my surprise, I took to painting very quickly.

Fastforward through a degree in Fashion Design and the realization of a disappointing tailspin that is our modern fashion world. Between breaks in horrendous fashion jobs, I would dedicate time to my paintings. I would create one new piece. After 6 years, I now have a small collection and wish to share my non-traditional background with the online art & design community.
