What a wonderful and thought provoking poem. I loved this video the moment I saw it and could not help but want to share it!
Perhaps we should all do as the poem suggests and put down our newspapers, turn off the tv (or computer) and take time to re-imagine our world. As the poem suggests, I too believe there are spark of divinity within us, sparks that could change the world and drag us out of stagnant waters. I believe a better world is at our finger tips and that the answers to all of our questions are within our reach – we just need to slow down long enough to ask and listen.
The above video was made by Wirrow.
The official video for She and Him’s latest single titled ‘Thieves’ was only just uploaded last week. I absolutely adore this song and the video is cute too. ‘Thieves’ is perfect listening to compliment a mid-summer lazy afternoon. Enjoy!
This song makes me happy – and the video is just so 1980’s!
I have a sneaking suspicion that I wont be the only one who is amused, so I have decided to share it.
The weekend is finally here! What better way to start it off than with a video titled Get Sexy made by the Pretty Monkey Studio featuring footage from the 1984 film Footloose? Now if this doesn’t get you moving and put a smile on your face, it might as well be Monday.
Cheers and enjoy!
I don’t know why but I am highly amused by this non-official music video put together by a group of students in Berlin who go by the name of Pretty Monkey Studio. The above video was made using clips from two Russian Scifi films Moscow – Cassiopaia and Teens in the Universe. Enjoy!
Here is a short but sweet little film by Steven A. Soria. I came across this happy little gem the other day and it made me want to kick off my shoes and run around outside like I used to when I was a kid. As you grow up you can’t help but miss being a kid and I often think that adults need to relax and kick back every now and then and let the inner kid take over. As adults everything becomes so serious – working hard everyday to pay the bills and there are always things that need to be done and it just seams like there is little time left for daydreaming, creativity and silliness.
My challenge for you this week is to find a moment to act like a kid. Giggle over something silly with your friends, or skip down the street (who cares if someone is watching, I bet they smiled), or have a toilet paper fight with your children and worry about the mess later on. My mother used to do this when we grew up and from time to time she still does. At 55 years old she is more youthful and more a pleasure to be around because of it. So how about it people? I double-dog dare ya!
What a beautiful planet we live on! Anything and everything I have and will ever experience has all taken place on this planet and without it, it would all cease to exist – we would cease to exist. Hopefully we can learn to honor and value our fragile planet so that future generations will have a place they can call home.
In honor of our planet Earth, l have posted this video featuring scenes from around New Zealand, set to the music of one of my favorite artists Ulrich Schnauss.
Gold Panda is melancholy electronic music to live by. London producer and former record shop employee Derwin is obsessed with Japanese culture and the dusty old records and VHS tapes and it is apparent. You can bet that on any given day spent in the office I will be listening to them for some time to come. Enjoy!
We Are Here: The Pale Blue Dot.
A very inspiring short film reflecting the needless bloodshed and carnage we bring upon each other, all for our share of a pale blue dot.

A few weeks ago, Scott gave a lecture to some lucky Academy of Art students. The talk was part of the Designspeak lecture series and was open to students and faculty (and 20 lucky blog readers).
